Files you upload: When you use BitLens to analyze images or videos, the files are processed entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or have access to your original files.
No personal data collection: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or IP address when you use our service.
Usage data: We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage statistics to improve our service. This data cannot be used to identify you.
2. How We Use Your Data
Since we process everything locally in your browser:
- Your files are processed locally using WebAssembly technology
- Only anonymized visual samples (processed frames) are sent to our AI inference provider
- We do not use your data for any purpose other than providing the analysis service
- We do not share, sell, or trade your data with any third parties
3. Data Storage
No server storage: BitLens does not store any files on our servers. All processing happens in your browser.
AI inference: When you analyze content, only processed frames (224x224 JPEG images) are temporarily sent to our AI inference API for analysis. These frames are not stored by the AI provider.
No cookies: We do not use cookies or any other tracking technologies.
4. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no data to delete or access. You have complete control over your files - they never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
You may request deletion of any aggregated, anonymized usage data we may have collected by contacting us at itmughal2023@gmail.com.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our analysis functionality:
- Hugging Face - AI inference API for image/video analysis. Only anonymized frames are sent, not original files.
- Vercel - Hosting and deployment. No user data is stored on Vercel.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
